The claim that the VW roundel conceals a swastika, rotating between conspiracy meme and documented history depending on which decade of the logo you mean.
Documented
The file is the confession
Volkswagen was established on May 28, 1937 by the German Labour Front under the Strength Through Joy program; the first logo, from an internal 1938 competition won by engineer Franz Xaver Reimspiess, set the VW monogram in a cogwheel ringed by flag shapes with swastika elements, and the parent labor front's own emblem was a swastika inside a cog. The swastika elements were stripped by 1939, and the postwar British administration replaced the cog with a plain circle by 1948.
Assessment: Documented: the Nazi founding, the swastika-ringed first emblem, and its removal are all in the company's own history. This is the one logo legend with real paperwork.
Stories
Rotate until guilty
The viral version ignores all that and instead rotates the modern roundel until the V and W seams sketch a swastika, presenting the cleaned-up mark as the coded one. The meme needs the 1948 circle to be a disguise, when it was the correction, ordered by the British officer who revived the ruined factory.
Assessment: Stories: the theory runs the film backwards, treating the fix as the cover-up and the cover-up as the clue.
Interesting claims
The scandal nobody memed
While the logo drew the theories, the documented outrage sat unmemed: hundreds of thousands of Germans paid into the KdF savings plan for a people's car, and virtually none received one before the plant switched to war production. In 2005 an elderly designer even sued Volkswagen to be recognized as the logo's author, and lost.
Assessment: Interesting: the company has a genuinely dark chapter, and the internet chose to chase geometry instead.

Worth asking
When a company deleted the evidence itself, eighty years ago, what exactly is the rotated-screenshot crowd finding?
