The Spectral

Jorjani's suppressed history
Philosopher Jason Reza Jorjani's claim that modern science was founded on a dishonest suppression of anomalous phenomena, and that the paranormal is history's deleted chapter.
Documented

The thesis has real credentials behind it

Jason Reza Jorjani earned a philosophy doctorate at Stony Brook, lectured at NJIT, and won the Parapsychological Association's 2016 Book Award for Prometheus and Atlas. His argument: figures like Prometheus and Atlas are archetypes of technoscientific daring, and the 'spectral', ESP, psychokinesis, apparitions, was pushed out of respectable history not by evidence but by boundary work. Rice University's Jeffrey Kripal called the book what profound philosophical writing used to be.

Assessment: The credentials, the award, and the argument are documented. So is the rest of the record: Jorjani co-founded the AltRight Corporation with Richard Spencer in 2017 before breaking with the movement, a fact this archive names plainly, because a theory of suppressed knowledge comes from a man who knows what institutional exile feels like from both sides.
Interesting claims

One insurgent lineage runs from the Titans to the psychical researchers

In Jorjani's system, the same rebellious current drives Greek titanomachy, esoteric orders, parapsychology laboratories, and UFO contact reports. His later books, World State of Emergency, Prometheism, Closer Encounters, and the afterlife study Thanosis, extend it: disclosure of the spectral is the coming world crisis, and consciousness is an informational pattern that survives death in a contested, administered cosmos.

Assessment: The most elaborate speculative system in contemporary fringe philosophy, and also its most inclusive: reincarnation cases, NDEs, abduction reports, and Gnostic myth are all granted equal weight, and contradictions are declared evidence of deeper structure. That is the tell. A metaphysics that nothing can count against is a mythology, and Jorjani would reply that he is openly building one. File accordingly.
Stories

The crisis apparition

The story type the SPR collected by the thousand: a woman sees her son at the moment he drowns an ocean away; a soldier appears at his mother's door the hour he falls. The Census of Hallucinations (1894) gathered 17,000 accounts to test whether death announces itself.

Assessment: The census and its archive are documented, and its statistical claims were argued for decades. Every family owns a version of this story, which is either the largest body of ignored evidence in history or the oldest trick grief plays.

Worth asking

Jorjani asks why a civilization that prizes anomalies in physics exiles them in psychology. Is the spectral suppressed because it is false, or because it would dynamite the wall between science and religion?
