Gateway's numbered ladder of consciousness states, from body-asleep mind-awake (Focus 10) to the edge of time-space (Focus 21).
Documented
The numbered rungs
Focus 10: mind awake, body asleep. Focus 12: expanded awareness. Focus 15: no time. Focus 21: the boundary of the physical, where contact with other intelligences is scheduled. Each level has its own tape, its own affirmation, and its own expected phenomenology.
Assessment: Documented: the ladder is the actual curriculum, printed in the manuals.
Stories
The floors above 21
Graduate lore speaks of unlisted levels, Focus 27 and beyond, the Reception Center, the Park, the gathering of souls between lives. The higher floors circulate in alumni circles the way extra gospel chapters circulate in seminaries.
Assessment: Stories: Monroe's later books describe them; no protocol, and no two travelers file the same report.
Interesting claims
The taxonomy trap
Buddhist maps and Gnostic maps warn that naming a state crystallizes it. The esoteric suspicion: the Focus ladder is not a map of consciousness but a mold for it, and its precision is precisely the problem. You arrive where the numbers say.
Assessment: Interesting: expectation shaping is documented psychology; whether anything exists beneath the mold is the standing question.
