Paul Wallis

pawl WAH-lis
The Anglican archdeacon turned bestselling author who argues the Eden stories are edited memories of the Anunnaki, pastor credentials worn as proof the reading is not fringe.
Documented

The documented corpus

Wallis's documented case, across Escaping from Eden (2020) and sequels and The 5th Kind channel: the Hebrew Elohim is grammatically plural; Genesis flood, Babel, and Nephilim narratives have older, fuller Sumerian and Akkadian parallels, Atrahasis, the King List, Gilgamesh; and the editorial compression from council-of-gods to single deity is visible in the textual history itself. He collaborates with translator Mauro Biglino and presents himself as trained clergy using mainstream Semitic philology.

Assessment: The plural Elohim and the Sumerian priority of the flood and Babel stories are documented scholarship. The leap, the parallels record extraterrestrials rather than shared mythology, is his thesis, not the philology's.

The insider's credibility play

The folk force of Wallis is the collar: an archdeacon saying what Sitchin said reads differently than Sitchin saying it. His interviews run the same arc, church training, personal crisis of reading, then the Anunnaki conclusion, packaged for audiences who want ancient astronauts with pastoral care. Critics note the philology is real but the interpretive layer, sky-beings, genetic programs, is Sitchin's, uncredited.

Assessment: Documented: the credentials are real, the audience reach is large, and the dependence on the contested Sitchin translation layer is the critics' standing point.
Interesting claims

The wardens in the pulpit

The claim: Wallis is the control system's counter-move, the managed release of the Anunnaki file through a churchman, normalizing the reading before the tablets force it. The more standard esoteric reading is simpler: the pastor finally read the footnotes.

Assessment: The managed-release claim is unfalsifiable on arrival. The philological footnotes are real and readable. Between them sits the whole wing.
